How I help clients who lose motivation:
Four things motivate us. Take a look at them below; which one is yours?
Think RICE. -Not Food
Results: You’re motivated by an outcome like fitting into an old swimsuit or how you will feel going topless at the beach. (Guy or Girl) won’t yuck your yum.
Ideology: You’re motivated by your beliefs, religion, or political viewpoints. You believe you deserve to look and feel good about yourself. But you may also believe you don’t deserve to feel or look good- nothing can help you unless you address that belief. There should be fewer workouts and more Tony Robbins if this is you.
Coercion: You’re motivated by negative factors. You don’t want the future you see if you stay on your current path. You’re tired of feeling like you do and won’t allow it to continue any longer. “Diabetes II took my parents; it’s not taking me or my kids.”
Ego: This is not an Egotistical Ego, “Look at me; I’m the most important person ever.” This is how we present ourselves to the world. It’s our sense of self, pride, identity, and reputation. You don’t want to be the parent sitting at the playground, unable to play.
What resonates most with you?
Can you write out three true motivators for you based on the above?
Put the list on your phone.
Read it when you feel challenged.
Don’t forget to find the fun,
