The PC/protect-your-feelings way to say this is that “chronic disease may be due to genetics & lifestyle.”  

I will not protect your feelings. I will tell you frankly.

Sedentarism and excess refined carbohydrate intake are two pathological and extremely damaging behaviors that we choose.

If you have “bad genetics,” it’s even more crucial that you choose a better life for yourself.

The four buckets we’re afraid of: kinetic, genetic, toxic, and mircrobic? They “just kind of happen.” And the best protection against that stuff? Become resilient against the stuff in the chronic bucket; those people are good at surviving.

p.s. You never hear a doctor say to someone. “You only survived because of your good genetics.” It’s always “because you take good care of yourself.”
