If you’re like me, you want the best for others you care for, which is also projecting what you really want for you.
I want others to feel good. I want them to evolve and do hard things and feel proud of themselves. I want them to feel like they have control and ownership of what matters to them.
These are really the things that I like to feel.
I wonder how much more effective I would be now at helping others feel those things if I had spent more of the last ten years building helping myself to feel them.
The best practice for growing others may be growing ourselves.
Maybe it’s best not to teach the child we want to see grow strong and healthy why they should eat apples. But instead, to grow strong and healthy in front of them, and then explain why we eat apples
