If you want to get in shape, it’s not difficult. Spend an hour a day running or in the gym. Do that for six months or a year. Done. That’s not difficult. The difficult part is becoming the kind of person who goes to the gym every day.
-Seth Godin.
Even more difficult than becoming a fit person, is believing that we can become one. We put a dollar in the change machine, and four quarters come out immediately. There’s no guarantee or reassurance needed. But if it took the same amount of time to produce the change as it did to design, mock-up, and print that dollar, we’d be in suspense for a while.
The exchange rate for creating change through focused work vs. unconscious inactivity is astounding.
Don’t just give it time. Give it work, over time.
